Financial inclusion improves sanitation and health (FINISH) Mondial began as a programme of WASTE in 2009 initially working in just India. Today it has grown to cover six countries: Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and is developed and implemented by a consortium consisting of WASTE (lead partner), Amref Health Africa and the FINISH Mondial Foundation (FMF) with the support of the Directorate-General for International Cooperation of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGIS). Working together with local partners, we’ve rapidly scaled up the construction of safely managed sanitation systems with more than 2 million systems completed to date. Alongside this we’ve raised over €500 million for sanitation. With 350,000 sanitation systems and €118 million projected for 2024, our commitment to a cleaner, healthier future grows stronger every day.
