🌐 Online session 🗓️ Tuesday 23rd August 🕥 13:00 – 14:20 

Raising awareness about the link between safely managed non-sewered sanitation systems (SDG 6) and climate finance aims for exploring cross-sectoral partnerships and unlocking new finance streams for sanitation. The session advocates for the recognition that safely managed non-sewered sanitation programmes (such as FINISH Mondial) have a high potential to integrate climate goals as significant objectives.

This session is co-hosted by WASTE with our FINISH Mondial programme partners, Amref, Aqua for All, FSM Alliance, and Sanivation.

Sanitation Financing: Creating market segments for more efficiency

Innovative ways to finance sanitation are needed to attain SDG6. We talk about how market segmentation contributes to this. We divide sanitation financing into 4 segments: micro, small, and growing businesses, micro to small businesses, and businesses with a hybrid business model. Each segment has opportunities and challenges.
