In a historic move, FINISH Mondial Bangladesh and Eco Social Development Organisation (ESDO) Micro Finance have joined forces through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony, which took place on September 4, 2023, in Rangpur, Bangladesh, signifies a major leap forward for Safely Managed Sanitation Systems in the country.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Wahida Anjoom, Country Coordinator of FINISH Mondial Bangladesh, and Dr. Md. Shahid Uz Zaman, Executive Director of ESDO Micro Finance. Key figures such as Mr. Valentin Post, CEO of FINISH Mondial, and Mr. Abhijit Banerjee, Country Coordinator of FINISH Mondial India, graced the occasion.

This landmark agreement aims to pave the way for Result-Based Financing (RBF) mechanisms in partnership with Micro Finance Institutions. The goal is to expand Safely Managed Sanitation coverage as part of the FINISH Mondial Bangladesh Programme.
